Choosing a Gas Convector Fire
The table will help you choose the right fire to fit your fireplace and chimney and heat your room. Where your fireplace opening allows, you may decide fitting a larger fire will look better or give more heat.
When working out which fire you need it is important to remember that your choice will not only depend on a combination of the correct size flue, the fireplace opening and the room size, but what looks best in your room.

Notes
- The gas grates are designed to operate with a minimum flue size of 175mm diameter and a height of at least 4.6 metres. Flues that have been built for a solid fuel fire normally comply with these standards.
- Gas grates cannot be fitted in low range fires.
- Air supply to the room should be equivalent to 100cm2.
